First off, I have been doing...doing tons of stuffs, and yet nothing at all. Strange, isn't it. First up on the blog is FAILURE. I consider this...this sock of sorts a failure. It is the most uncomfortable, most irritating sock ever made. It was my attempt on loom knitting...Needless to say, yes it looks like a sock. but it is a failure. I am happy to report that i am not going to make another one. This is the motif i am going to be using for a trade on facebook in my tatting group. Isn't it gorgeous! I most definitely consider this a triumph. And a challenge. I had never tatted anything like it before. And i love how the black and white look so modern and clean. Obviously I still need to hide ends and see about blocking...but i am stuck... so this is in that gray area of triumph and failure. I don't know quite how to add the necklace part... I still have time so that's all good.
Next is my TIAS. My guess is a frog in metamorphosis Now karma. the golden rule. I really don't know what made me want to go into this on here but it really is important...really to everyone's life. Karma. To me it means, if you are a jackass to someone, you are going to get it back. One so predominant is my arms. growing up I was and always had been fat. A while back, when i was still a teenager, I would constantly tease and be mean to my sister about her arms. As time went on it got old, so i stopped, but not before karma kicked in. To make me understand about how my sister felt about her arms, karma distorted my arms as she had. Bingo wings my boyfriend calls them. As much of a lesson it was to me, i am really attached to them. Sure i miss my nice arms, but if i still had those arms then my daughter wouldn't use them for security. There is always the good with the bad, and I am lucky for karma to teach this to me. Which has me worrying for the same reason.
I am to give this beautiful necklace to my sister come Thursday. Thursday is a huge day. I have not said one word to my mom for two years solid, it would have been three if my sister hadn't gotten pregnant and had her baby... Obviously i needed to go, also my mom was there and i obviously needed to tell her that i was there for my sister, and not to talk to me. So two years.
I need some answers, I need some life decisions made, by me and my mom. And what has me worried is my brother. He is really bad for my mom and i know that it isn't my place to tell her not to trust him or whatever, but this is supposed to be an open conversation to hopefully repair my relationship with my mom, but to do that its going to take strength and harshness. And I am really worried that karma is going to bite me. Do you think that karma bites up if the intentions are good, to better things. I hope not. Wish me luck. I am so nervous. And scared. And scared.

SUCCESS!
Maybe not to everyone, but i totally succeed. I finished my bobbin lace pillow cover! It didn't take me all that long, and it was done completely by hand. I started yesterday without a clue and finished just moments ago.
Ok. the top on here. is the regular cookie pillow. 13 inches. this cover obviously looks better due to the simplicity. The bottom is with the roller. I don't think that this looks as good. There is just something about it.... the cut out is funky. I think that i may modify it before i actually put any lace on it. And also the roller needs to be trimmed some more i think. But all in all. SUCCESS! Even more so, considering sewing knowledge... thank you internet! HAha. So yeah that's about it.

No lie.
I'm not going to lie. I just had my first bowl of cereal in forever and it felt real good. Just thought y'all should know.

Photos.
Ok. Now the pictures i was taking about. first up is my little bit of bobbin lace. The blue is supposed to be the gimp, i think i should have used some thread that was a bit thicker. But for the practice, it will do. The patter uses torchon ground, spiders, and an alternating diamonds. Please make no never mind about the boo boo on the left :)Next is a little motif that was started as a heart, but something went tragically wrong. Also take a look at my kids handy work... do you see the missing picots...i do. Any way I am going to re-tat this and close it as a tear drop, and give it to my sister.
This is my TIAS. Day 5. My guess...hmm. gecko?mmm bear rug?mmm I have no idea, maybe tomorrow. Mine is done in a baby pink and white, size 10 thread and red size 10 beads.
Some more of the tatting i have been doing. This necklace (for me) is revolutionary! usually the closure is in the back of the necklace. My necklaces that i have been making have the toggle in front. For a couple reasons. it keeps it centered in my front neck/throat. I have been testing this for the past three days... always centered. I used a zig-zag chain...i think i need to find a different chain, because after three days of me wearing it the chain looks weird. certainly not like this picture...what chain would look good...maybe padded tatting...?
And the frosting! my wide picot idea. I could totally imagine some pretty earrings with this technique....Imagine...a great big wide picot with beads on it, and a bead in a picot in the middle of the wide picot, I think it would look like a chandelier.

Most of Good.
Here we are in the beginning of 2011. So much has happened already. I only just started tatting again. I am in an exchange over on facebook, on the tatting page...i am doing T.I.A.S. My first one. BUT i have not been taking very many pictures... period. So tomorrow I think that i will break out my scanner and scan some tatting.
Really I don't know what i have been doing. All i know is last week was crammed full!. I can't wait to get a car. We are so close. So close. All i can imagine is going to the doctor and being home in the same name of the day. You know, morning appointment, home or doing something else..in the morning....instead of evening.... and yes it really does take me that long for a doctors appointment, on the bus! I leave in the morning and come home at night, for a half and hour visit..if that!
Instead of focusing on the negative, I am going to rattle off some awesome stuff that has happened since the new year.
I learned about the wide picot! so cool! I made a video
once you see it you will be able to see why i am so excited about it. The applications are amazing. beads on the wide picot, simple flowers, simple flowers with beads, there is a patter running around here somewhere called LOCHNESS MONSTER FLOWER... i mean how cool is that.
Started participating in my first TIAS.
Learned about gimp and how to work with it. (bobbin lace)
Got a bobbin lace pillow. Its the cookie travel pillow from Snowgoose. All i need to do now is figure out how to cover it.
I crocheted a shirt for my daughter that she has worn a grand total of 1 TIME. Yep you heard me, 1 time. But it was like my third crochet project that i actually finished... YAY ME!
My kids clean their own room, when i say go clean your room. This is actually a great accomplishment, considering the family I come from. I used to stay up all night with my mom cleaning up after my brother and sister. I, myself didn't start cleaning my room, until I was 10 years old i think. So yeah, see i learn from my mistakes. So they clean their room. And its all ORGANIZED... to the level that it looks good, but a kids understands what needs to go down. So happy.
My kids are talking up a storm! I did not know that kids talked that much. They talk...no joke... all day. While they eat, while they watch movies, while they play, while they go to the bathroom, while they sleep, ALL THE TIME. I kinda do love it. I mean from them not able to communicate to communicating all the time. They tell me their dreams. I used to tell my dreams to my mom. I think that its funny how things continue on without my nudging. So..yeah, tons of talking.
Anthony is working up a storm.
The weather has been so nice that i can open the windows during the day.
I think that that has been all the good...Oh, hold on, my daughter is potty training. She is so god darn stubborn, its unbelievable. My boys flew through potty training, she just doesn't want to do it. But we are on her, she should have it soon........hopefully... So yeah I think that is it. Pictures soon.

year end post
Boy has it been a year. I know that most bloggers are going to a year end summery... well i am not most bloggers, am I? So just to touch on a few milestones... good and bad. The good. Both of my boys completely potty trained and talking (took long enough!) and working on my daughter. Um. Learned tatting, gained a great community of people, learned bobbin lace, watched a million and two movies (not really), tried tons and tons of new things, helped a great deal of people, on and offline. The bad, loads of arguments, stress, lost people who i thought were friends, threw away a ton of stuff. Been sicker than i think i ever have in my life...i have been so darn sick this year... as a matter of fact i am, and my whole family is, sick... lucky though that its going away... hopefully it will give me a break, cause this crap is taking so much out of me. OK. I think that is all of that...so yeah, great christmas, hopefully a great new year... See y'all then!

Late Late Sunday
Have a great holiday!
We will be off on the 26th.
We will return to our thieving ways
on January 2, 2011.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
from Bud & Judd
Welcome back to Sunday Stealing. Sunday Stealing originated on WTIT: The Blog authored by Bud Weiser. Here we will steal all types of memes from every corner of the blogosphere. Our promise to you is that we will work hard to find the most interesting and intelligent memes. You may have heard of the expression, “honor amongst thieves”. In that age-old tradition, we also have our rules. First, we always credit the blog that we stole it from and we will “fess up” to the blog owner where we stole the meme. We also provide a link to the victim's post. (It's our way of saying "Thanks!") We do sometimes edit the original meme, usually to make it more relevant to our global players, to challenge our players, sometimes to select that meme's best questions, or simply to make it less repetitive from either this new meme or recently asked questions from a prior featured meme. Let's go!
Today we ripped this meme off a blogger named CV Rick from the blog named Ninja Writer. It's 50 questions so we will do it in two parts. He stated that he grabbed it from Wry Catcher. But, it was probably stolen there as well. So, of course, that will be as far as we go. Tracing back our theft's thieves might take some time. Link back to us at Sunday Stealing!

Watching Sonic the headghog and Bloggin....fun fun
Alright... the rest of my family is coming over right now so i figured i would blog real quick...
Personal: my fam is coming over and i am super duper DUPER excited...we are going to have christmas early with them and then christmas later with just ourselves...Since i know that my sister doesn't read my blog... i got her two tattoo books! her friend Tori got her tattoo filled in and i am getting her tattoo books... can you tell where her heart lies? She is going to love one especially because it goes through the techniques and the Whys and other really cool stuff... also information on how to get INTO tattooing... shes going to love it... Also yesterday I went to a potluck... boy oh boy it was great. everyone who came actually brought something... Halloween it wasn't like that... but it was great. ok. so on Facebook, i got friend requests from my cousin and Aunt...I haven't talked to my aunt in years.. and my cousin even longer... I sent some lace to my aunt.... so unfortunately i dont have that lace to show off... and i wasn't quite on mind to scan it... which brings me to BOBBIN LACE!
Bobbin lace:
most recent project...
they are called SPIDERS...I was telling my sister that my head was exploded during this pattern... and it was... First off it had 13 pair... more than i had ever used... which is pathetic considering i have seen a photo of someone working 500 PAIRS! craziness...So 13 pairs... the spiders itself is really simple... the sides are also something i know... the head exploding thing, was trying to remember how to tie the sides and the spiders together...To be honest i probably won't attempt this pattern again...see lucky for me (my excuse for such a tiny piece) the thread broke and i have no idea how to fix or replace a broken thread...darn ;).
Tatting: Have not done a darn thing... i was making "posy" on the bus but for some reason it looked really crappy... that made me sad...
SO that's about it... really... i mean i could go into how icky i have felt, but it is really boring.
1 week till Christmas... so happy.
Happy Merry Christmas Peoples!!!

Enough with the UCK!

Also i discovered a couple more things... One: I like my homemade bobbins better than the ones i bought...Two: I like my non-moving bobbins better than the ones that the beads move...Three: even though i like the non moving ones better, it is MUCH easier winding the bobbins with the moving beads.
Learning something new is so much fun... which is why i need the physical book to do so... I flip back and forth, and use post its... Its so exciting.
On the tatting front, there has been very little... I made some of Mary Koniors "onion skins" edging, while doing laundry the last time...but i don't have a picture. I made three STUMPY's in pink... two of them are going to be earrings...i just have to hide the ends of one...So tragic...i missed the large ring at the end on one, then didn't join the last picot on another and so on the third i tatted EXTREMELY slowly...it came out ok, just really tightly tatted...Hey i should come up with a tatting tongue twister...let's see

WARNING: sick post...graphic, gross. No tatting
Boy oh Boy! this last week or so has been so hard...WARNING GRAPHIC LANGUAGE BELOW!
For this saga i need to go all the way back to thanksgiving-ish... Anthony worked that Friday, was major sick...had to take the next day off of work (yes it was that damn bad), wound up getting every one in the house sick... luckily it didn't transfer to my sister's family... two days after Anthony was feeling better, Atreyu sat on the toilet and gave us insight on how sick HE was feeling, luckily Anthony was sitting right there... ready to not do ANYTHING... i had to clean up the puke...not fair... so that started upset my stomach, that night he slept on the couch...
Needless to say Anthony had to work this night...He left for work and the kids went to bed... i did the midnight potty and moments later i heard it...Az puking, poor boy running for the toilet...which is beyond me because he had never threw up, there for had no experience... but he ran for the toilet anyway... so here we are at midnight...I now put Az on the couch and there would be no more throw up that night... The next day was a test of everything i am made of... everything. Woke up really ill. All day ill...the waters ill...so there's that, plus me tossing my stomach, and headache... awesome day.. right? Anthony has to work again...I set Az up on the couch again because at the bed time bathroom run, he puked...again...So yeah. Ana said that her tummy was ick, so she was on the floor...Midnight run nothing... 3 AM, Ana got sick. We had no more blankets so i stayed up with her for the rest of the night... 6:30 am i finally get to pass out in bed
Enter the jerkiness... Mind you right now i am severely ill. sleep deprived, smelly... I told Anthony that he needs to step up and let me sleep and get better... three hours later he is complaining that he is tired...at this point with the three hours... i have had a total of 5 hours of sleep over the last 2 days. And he is complaining to ME...Needless to say i laid into him... When i get up he goes off to bed, knowing that there are dishes in the sink, crap on the floor, pukey blankets that need to be washed and kids to be watched, and that i am still sick...There is no love there...none. So sick i have to go do laundry, and cook dinner and make lunch and let the kids play outside...i love being a mom sometimes... not!
But no one has thrown up in days, and i am feeling much better...much better and i am so darn happy about it...
Something else i am happy about is after all that drama and crap... i finally got to do some bobbin lace...I really haven't been in the mood to tat, but at least i know what project i am going to do next :).
A few things that have happened since also is my niece turned 2. She has been on this earth for 2 years and i can't wait to see the rest of them... boy i love that chipmunk...On facebook my cousin DeeAnn and Aunt Diane both friended me. Its so weird you know... i haven't actually talked to my cousin in over, shoot, must be 10 years... and my aunt in almost the same...How can you be family and not know each other... I asked myself this question a few times this last week... Like, i know my sister, but i am still learning brand new things about her...I was trying to buy my grama a present for Christmas and it dawned on me that i don't know anything about her, at all!
Why do we let our friends closer than our family? So while my sister was here we talked, we shared secrets and I am so thankful that my sister isn't just my sister... she is actually a better friend than a sister. i love that. But it's so weird that there are so many things that i don't know about her... Ok... so i am going to head off and watch the rest of Grey's anatomy...Night night
